About the Mead Hall

Your affable host

“Wise sir, do not grieve. It is always better
to avenge dear ones than to indulge in mourning.
For every one of us, living in this world
means waiting for our end. Let whoever can
win glory before death. When a warrior is gone,
that will be his best and only bulwark.”

‘Well, Beowulf’, you might say, what is a Mead Hall, and who are the Heroic Slain?’

In a far away time you would know as the Viking Age , the Mead Hall was a feasting place where my Warband and I would drink, feast and fornicate after a hard day’s pillage and adventure. Although much time has passed, we are still there!

‘The Mead Hall Of The Heroic Slain’ is actually the literal meaning of the word Valhalla – a great place beyond the mortal plane where the brave feast for all eternity. The magic of the ‘internet’ allows you to be our honoured guest.

So, what are we doing up here? Discussing pop culture, of course!

Take a pew and let us fill your drinking horn!
